Meet Samantha.

Our 2023 Dorm Room recipient is Samatha Torres-Rosado is a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School. She is a first-generation college student attending Davidson College. She is majoring in Pre-Med.

Samantha wanted a cozy and personalized dorm room space where she can feel comfortable and motivated throughout the semester. The customized neon sign that reads “Si Se Puede” which means Yes it can be done —displayed, serving as a constant source of motivation to finish the semester strong! Samantha plan to major in Pre-Med. Once she is an established doctor, she wants to create a scholarship for students in need in both Ecuador and the United States.
